Making Up Missed Fasts
A person passed away and had eight years of fasting to make up for; because he was a soldier and did not fast. What is required of the deceased's family?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is recommended for them to give charity on his behalf instead of every day of fasting half a sa', which is the equivalent of two Jordanian dinars, and God knows best.
