Ruling on Blood Flow for More Than Ten Days
If a woman's menstrual cycle is always irregular and she suffers from hormonal disturbances, and her cycle exceeds ten days each time, should she refer to the Shafi'i school in counting the days of her cycle?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If there is no necessity to switch, if her cycle exceeds ten days, she should revert to her old habit, and what comes out is considered blood of istihada (irregular bleeding), and God knows best.
