Ruling on Blood Lasting More Than Ten Days
I had a clot in my left leg, and I am being treated with a blood thinner. My menstrual period used to last a week, but with the blood thinner, it has extended to two weeks. Is it permissible for me to pray after a week, and also to fast?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: As long as the blood lasts more than ten days, we consider the old habit, and anything beyond that is considered irregular bleeding. You should pray while it is present, and Allah knows best.
