A patch that prevents the feeling of thirst or hunger for the fasting person during the day of Ramadan

Question
What is the ruling on using a patch that prevents the feeling of thirst or hunger for the fasting person during the day of Ramadan?
Answer
What is currently being promoted about a Chinese patch that prevents thirst during Ramadan is not new, and it has been used in European countries for some time. It is placed on one or both kidneys, and in reality, it does not prevent thirst but rather helps to retain moisture, which reduces the feeling of thirst. It does not invalidate fasting, whether the patch contains chemical compounds that are absorbed through the skin or is made from non-chemical materials to trap water and prevent its evaporation; because the substance in the patch does not enter the body through a channel considered valid in Sharia, as it enters through the pores of the skin, which is not a valid channel. Therefore, its use is permissible but with a degree of dislike, as such an act is not befitting for a Muslim. Fasting is a great act of worship and one of the pillars of Islam. If the community knew what Ramadan holds, they would wish for the entire year to be Ramadan. Allah Almighty has prepared a great reward for the fasting individuals, and whoever has a pre-dawn meal according to the Sunnah and breaks their fast according to the Sunnah will not face great hardship.
