Delay in Delivering the Trust to Its Owner for His Benefit
Some people gave my husband money as a trust for his sister. Is it permissible for him to hide part of it knowing that she is ill and he fears that her married daughters will spend the money on other matters?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: He must seek permission from his sister in this matter; because the money is her right, and she is still sane, so she has the right to manage the money as she wishes. He should talk to her, and if she agrees to what he said, it is permissible; otherwise, it is not. And God knows best.
