Giving the Wife More Than the Salary
A man gives his wife at the end of the month more than his salary, and he says to her: This is for you. Is he entitled to take it back from her later on the pretext that he is saving it with her?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: This giving is usually for safekeeping, not for ownership by the wife, and it is understood as such. The husband may later request the money from her unless there is clear evidence and a definite intention to grant the wife ownership of the money. And God knows best.
