If a man has sexual relations with his wife while she is sleeping during the day in Ramadan and she does not notice?
Answer
She must make up the fast without expiation; because sleeping is not considered a barrier to the fasting person's breaking of the fast, but the expiation is waived due to the lack of intention on her part, as mentioned in Khulasat al-Fatawa 1: 253, and Al-Bahr al-Ra'iq 2: 292.
