What is the ruling if a person gives the call to prayer while sitting?
Answer
It's acceptable; because the purpose of the call to prayer for the individual is to observe the Sunnah of prayer, not to announce it. See: Al-Durr Al-Mukhtar 1: 260, and Al-Wiqayah p. 140.
