If they fast Ramadan for thirty days with the testimony of one just witness regarding the crescent of Ramadan, and there is a reason in the sky, is it permissible for them to break their fast based on this testimony?
Answer
It is not permissible for them to break their fast; because breaking the fast is not established by a single statement, as mentioned in the explanation of Al-Wiqayah p. 236, and in 'Umdah Al-Ri'ayah 1: 310.
