Injury from Dust Due to the Wind Blowing
A man was struck by the wind, and dust rose and hit his face and arms. He wiped them with the intention of performing tayammum. Is this permissible for him?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is authentic regarding tayammum; because dust is part of the earth. See: Fath Bab al-'Inayah 1: 115-116, and Sharh al-Wiqayah p. 107, and God knows best.
