Nisab of Olive Zakat
What is the amount of the nisab for olive zakat? Is there zakat on three cans of oil, each weighing 16 kilograms, and one can out of the three is distributed among the brothers, sisters, and relatives of the wife?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is obligatory on everything that comes out of the earth, no matter how small, and the zakat is one-tenth for what is irrigated. What is distributed to brothers and relatives can be considered zakat if they are poor, and God knows best.
