Presence of a Large Tear in the Splint
Does the presence of a large tear in the splint invalidate wiping over it?
Answer
I say, with Allah's guidance: Wiping over the splint is not invalidated by the presence of a large tear in it, unlike the leather sock where it is a condition. See: Explanation of Al-Wiqaya p.120, Al-Hidaya Al-Alaiya p.42-43, and Nihayat Al-Murad p.400, and Allah knows best.
