Purification of Dog Skin through Tanning
Does tanning purify dog skin?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is purified by tanning; because its essence is not impure, but its saliva is impure. See: Sharh al-Wiqayah p. 100-101, and Fath al-Qadeer 1: 18, and God knows best.
