I say, and with God's success: polished things: like mirrors, knives, swords, glass, nails, and other items that are not rough are purified by wiping. If it is engraved, it is not purified by wiping. There is no difference whether the impurity present on it is of a solid mass or not, whether it is wet or dry, and whether the wiping is done with dust, wool, grass, a cloth, or something similar.
