Ruling on Fasting with the Presence of Red Discharges
What is the ruling on discharges that are the color of blood and what is the ruling on fasting with their presence? On the 27th of Ramadan, after breaking the fast, a discharge of the same color as blood appeared the next day, and on the third day, the red discharge decreased while a brown discharge continued, along with a black discharge. What is the ruling on fasting on these days?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's guidance: If this is your usual pattern, then it is menstruation. If this is not your usual pattern, then it is irregular bleeding. However, you should consult a doctor to determine what this blood is. Therefore, if this is menstrual blood, fasting is not valid with its presence, and Allah knows best.
