Ruling on the Blood that Appears After Inserting an IUD
I had an IUD inserted for contraception, and I started feeling severe discomfort. After some investigation, I see a little pink blood. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's guidance: The original ruling is that what you see is considered menstruation if it occurs within ten days, unless your doctor informs you that it is not menstruation, in which case it is not considered menstruation. And Allah knows best.
