Question
I am a widow and I asked my children after my death not to divide the inheritance so that they remain united throughout their lives. Is this forbidden?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: This is not the right of a person after his death, and if he says it, it is of no consequence. The heirs are allowed to divide the inheritance, and a person should not make such a will; because it leads to the loss of rights, and he should leave the rulings as God has ordained them. And God knows best.
