Starting the Wiping from the Shin
What is the ruling on someone who starts wiping over the leather socks from the shin to the toes?
Answer
I say, with Allah's guidance: It is permissible to wipe, but it is against the Sunnah; because the Sunnah is to start from the toes to the shin. See: Sharh al-Wiqayah p. 114, and Allah knows best.
