Does tanning purify pigskin?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The skin of the pig cannot be purified by tanning; due to its inherent impurity. Refer to: Sharh Al-Wiqayah p. 100-101, and Fath Al-Qadeer 1: 18, and God knows best.
