Tayammum for Prayer and Leaving a Hair
What is the ruling for someone who performed tayammum for prayer and left a hair on their hand that was not covered by the wiping?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not sufficient for him to perform tayammum; because it is a condition for the validity of tayammum that the face and hands must be completely wiped according to the ruling given: even if a small part remains that was not wiped, it is not sufficient. Refer to: Sharh al-Wiqayah p. 106, and Al-Durr al-Mukhtar 1: 158, and God knows best.
