The Absence of a Pure Bucket
Is it permissible for a person in a state of ritual impurity to perform dry ablution (tayammum) if they find a well of water but do not find a pure bucket to draw the water with?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for him to do that; if the water is in a deep well, and he does not find a pure bucket to extract the water, see: Sharh Al-Wiqayah p. 106, Al-Hadiyyah Al-‘Ala’iyyah p. 34, and Fath Bab Al-‘Inayah 1: 111, and God knows best.
