The Children Living with Their Stepmother
A man passed away and left children, the oldest of whom is sixteen years old. Is it permissible for them to continue living with their stepmother?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is forbidden for them as it is for their mother, so they can live with her and be good to her if it does not cause temptation for them or for her, provided she is older if she has children. And God knows best.
