Question
Does wiping over the socks become invalid if they are removed?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The wiping over the socks is invalidated by removing them or by removing one of them, and one must redo the wiping of the socks; because the purity of the feet is not divisible, as they are one function. Therefore, it is not permissible to wash one of them and wipe the other. If one of them is invalidated, the other is also invalidated; due to the necessity of indivisibility. Refer to: Sharh Al-Wiqayah p. 115, and Nihayat Al-Murad p. 387, and God knows best.
