Answer
I say, and with God's success: Its leftover is disliked as a form of purification, and the reason for the dislike is that it mixes with the dead and impurities, resembling the leftover of a hen. Even if one is certain that there is no impurity on its beak, its leftover is not disliked. We did not say that its leftover is impure by analogy to the carnivorous animals; because its purity is established by preference; it drinks with its beak, which is a pure bone, while carnivorous animals drink with their tongues, which are wet with their saliva, and saliva is generated from flesh and is impure. Refer to: Maraqi al-Falah 32, Al-Sayah 1: 465, and Radd al-Muhtar 1: 149, and God knows best.
