I say, with Allah's guidance: It is disliked to consume its remnants as a precaution. The reason for the dislike is that it mingles with carrion and impurities, resembling a free-range chicken. However, if it is certain that there is no impurity on its beak, its remnants are not disliked. We do not declare its remnants impure due to the sanctity of its meat, analogous to predatory animals; its purity is established by preference. It drinks with its beak, which is a pure bone, whereas predatory animals drink with their tongues, which are moistened with their saliva. Saliva is produced from the flesh, which is impure. See: Maraqi al-Falah 32, Al-Sa'ayah 1: 465, Radd al-Muhtar 1: 14, and Allah knows best.
