An elderly woman who has stopped menstruating, and after a period, experiences a small amount of blood or discharge that is not at the time of her cycle, which is light and intermittent. What should she do regarding fasting or prayer, and how can she determine if this blood is menstruation or irregular bleeding?

I say, and with God's success: If she reaches the age of menopause, which is usually fifty-five years, then the blood that comes to her is not considered menstrual blood unless it is black or bright red. And God knows best.
