The Ruling on Holding the Deceased Accountable for the Actions of Their Heirs
If the deceased left wealth and the heirs squandered it, is the deceased held accountable for that?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: A person is not held accountable for the actions of others. If his earnings were from lawful sources and he raised his children to the best of his ability towards goodness and righteousness, then he is not held accountable for their actions. And God knows best.
