What is the ruling on listening to songs, and are there any schools of thought that permit listening to songs?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Listening to women's singing is forbidden, and listening to music is also forbidden. Listening to songs that provoke desires and lead to prohibitions and cause temptation is forbidden. This is the well-known opinion, and God knows best.
