What is the ruling on a fasting person using nasal drops during the day in Ramadan?
Answer
It invalidates the fast, and one must make up for it; because it is akin to eating in terms of form, which is treatment, and the nose is considered a valid passage according to Sharia, as mentioned in Bada'i al-Sana'i 2: 93, and Al-Hidaya 1: 125.
