Wearing a Sock that Allows Water to Penetrate
Is it permissible for someone who wears a thin sock that allows water to penetrate to wipe over it?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible; because it is a condition for the permissibility of wiping over the socks that they prevent water from reaching the body when wiped over them, due to their thickness. Refer to: Al-Maraqii page 131, and Al-Hadiyyah Al-Ala'iyyah page 39, and God knows best.
