Question
If someone wears khuffs after performing tayammum and then finds water, is it permissible for him to wipe over them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible for him to wipe over the socks; because it is a condition for the permissibility of wiping that the socks are worn after purification by ablution or washing. If he wears them after performing tayammum and then finds water, it is not permissible for him to wipe over them. Then he should consider: if he is in a state of ritual impurity, he should perform ablution, and if he is not in a state of ritual impurity, then washing the feet is sufficient.
