Whoever intends at ablution to pray and then reaches the place of prayer without having the intention

Question
What is the ruling for someone who intended during ablution to pray the noon prayer, for example, and did not engage in any foreign action after the intention, then reached the place of prayer without having the intention?
Answer
His prayer is valid with the previous intention; because it is a condition for the validity of the intention in prayer that it coincides with the opening Takbir, and that the intention is made before starting the prayer without engaging in any foreign action that prevents the connection between them: such as eating, drinking, and speaking, which is considered a legal comparison. See: Hashiyat al-Tahṭāwī p. 217.
