If the couple are employees, own a house and a car, and have monthly bank installments of 225 dinars, and they pay their children's tuition fees and borrow for essential household needs, is it permissible for them to take from zakat?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Anyone who does not possess the minimum amount of wealth required to be excluded from receiving zakat is allowed to take zakat, which is an amount of (100) grams of gold or its equivalent that exceeds their original needs, which include the house, car, furniture, and other necessities. And God knows best.
