Paying Zakat to Someone Who Wants to Borrow
Is it permissible to give zakat to someone who intends to borrow for marriage or to buy a house, or for other urgent needs, and cannot find anyone to lend to them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If he is poor and does not own the minimum threshold for deprivation, it is permissible to give him zakat, whether he wants to marry or for other reasons, and God knows best.
